Lo siento

Hello all! It's Ignis here, and I wanted to tell y'all that I am sorry!!! (That's what the title to this post means, but in Spanish.) I should have posted TWO WEEKS ago but I didn't. Here I am now, so lets all forgive and forget, shall we?
Because there are oh-so-many books to mourn.
A bad, sideways book
Starting with this one here--very popular and arguably funny, although I dislike it. But that's irrelevant.

THIS is what's relevant. Not only did all the pages come out but some JERK colored in the spine!!!!!!!!!!

This is me, holding up the two parts of the book.
Behind me is the workroom, where Imber does her magic.

When Imber glued the pages back in, you could still kind of see the green spine.
*sigh*

Oh, one more thing: lets all have a round of applause for Imber. She cleared out all million and one books on the repair shelf! Woot woot! And we have plenty of new pictures to blog about.

Not the spines…

Yo peeps! I know, I know it's going to be hard to follow up ignis’s last post but I’ll do my best ;)  So this week I am going teach you about spine breaking. It happens ALL THE TIME!!! So please PLEASE don’t hurt our spines. THERE ARE DELICATE!!!!!!!!!!!
And this is what happens when you don’t.
Rick riordan is a great author! And VERY popular with elementary and middle school students.
Sometimes popular books get over used....  a little
THIS IS WHAT IT TALKING ABOUT, PEOPLE!!!! That book is COMPLETELY disconnected from it's back cover. Okay i’m exaggerating, most of the books that come in aren’t THAT bad but a few stand alone...

I am a library TA. I speak for the books. I speak for the Books for the books have no tongues.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Hello, it's me Imber :) I just realized that march 2 was Dr seuss b-day so this is too make up for missing that.
Okay, who here has read the “Oh the things you can think” by Dr Seuss? It really is one of my favorites by him.
There is A LOT happening in each picture. In one there's quite a lot of elephants. How many? Just ask this guy, He should know.

Yup... He should know. They went even more into depth with the yellow duck things.
wow can we get a close up there?
Yup.
You know they could have used a color that actually goes with yellow!
Green? Nope.

P.S. We LOOOOOVE comments :D

Popular Boy

Popular boy!!!
Who knew that so many skilled artists visited our library? I think this particular person really understands use of materials. I mean, do you see the way his cheek and ear are colored with a pencil, whereas the rest is with a crayon? Genius. This is avant-garde stuff, guys.

The pale neck against the blue marker shirt is a nice touch, too.

Imber just couldn't bear to remove the color. Not that she could, since it was crayon, colored pencil, and pen. But still. (Of couse she didn't start screaming vengefully! What are you talking about?)
This one is called "Shady Lady"
Here's "Big Brat"

The thing about this that makes me laugh so much is that the drawing is actually titled "popular boy." Am I the only one who finds that hilarious? Actually, all the book's drawings have titles like that!

Well, that's all for now. See you next week!

Imber gets sad

Hi it's me Imber, I’m sorry I haven't posted recently (at all). I will try to do better, but, you know it's not like those books are going to repair themselves. Well when I was at the rigorous job of repairing books I came across a book that looked totally fine. It's a pretty cool book too! It's called Psychology for Kids. It's basicly all these questions and tests to see “what kind of a thinker you are.

Any ways I was kind of having fun laughing at the beautiful art work..
when all of a sudden I realized why it was in the repairs.
yeah, that's crayon. I think I officially hate all things I can't erase with a eraser. For those of you who don't know me personally, when I can't repair a book just because some person decided this page needs a little more color, I get sad. :(
--
this book makes me very sad. But wait that's not all. The defiler of this book got a little excited and guess what?
THEY FILLED OUT EVERY QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(I’m just glad it was in pencil)
So after recovering from the initial shock of the colorfulness of that page I had to go through, what, 100 pages of answers and erase EVERY SINGLE WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Trust me I know WAY too well whether this person is a selective thinker or not!

Great Art

First of all, yes, I know I wrote a post last week, but Imber isn't quite ready with hers. So now, onto the post!

BEST DRAWING BOOK EVER
Have you always wanted to learn to draw awesome, cute transportation! Then Drawing Manga Vehicles is for you! You know it's a great drawing book because it has a skillfully drawn truck and a jet on the cover--AND they're drawn by purple-haired manga people holding PENS! Read this book and you will conquer the manga-vehicle-drawing WORLD!

Unless you're this guy. Who draws in pen. Badly. On a library book. And now Imber is sad because she can't erase it because it's pen. And now whoever checks out the book has to look at it.

That is all.

P.S. We have come to a consensus: the drawing is the jet on the cover of the book. Who's with us? Tell us in the comments!
